AIDCO Warranty and Service Statement

General Equipment

Aidco warrants products manufactured by Aidco against defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of 24 months for new and 12 months for remanufactured equipment from the time of initial customer operation. At AIDCO's request, buyer will make any defective article available for inspection by Aidco at the installation site or will return defective article to Aidco, charges prepaid. Aidco shall correct any defect at AIDCO's discretion, either by repairing or replacing the defective article, or by issuing a credit for the purchase price. If an outside manufacturer furnishes the article, warranty shall be limited to the warranty of the respective manufacturer for such article but not less than twelve months from the date of initial customer operation. This warranty shall not apply to any product or component, which shall have been subject to alteration, accident, misuse, abuse or failure to follow AIDCO's instructions for operation and maintenance.

Aidco accepts no liability hereunder for consequential or contingent damage, secondary charges, or loss or expense resulting from any alleged defect in said product, failure of said product to operate properly, or for the negligence of others. Aidco reserves the right to make design changes at any time without obligation to notify past customers or to modify units previously shipped from Aidco.

Parts Orders

Repair or replacement parts, spare parts, update kits, or adapter kits may be ordered from Aidco or one of AIDCO's current sales representatives. Parts supplied only by Aidco are covered under the warranty as stated above.

Service Calls

If the buyer requests field service after the warranty period, or during the warranty period if conditions have invalidated the warranty, the buyer shall pay the time and expenses of the field representative.

Performance Guarantee

As part of our Customer Satisfaction and Quality Assurance Program, Aidco verifies the operation and performance of all equipment prior to shipping including an internal “Quality Inspection Process” and, if applicable, a “Customer Shop Demonstration”. In our Quality Inspection Process, each piece of equipment must pass an internal inspection procedure prior to shipping. A representative from Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, Service and Accounting must approve the inspection. For machines, this test generally includes a 24-step process and 20 man-hours of testing. If applicable, test product supplied by the buyer will be manually loaded into the equipment. Cycle times can be measured and used to verify equipment capacity. Continuous product flow simulating sustained production runs is not possible due to limited material availability and handling restrictions.

The Customer Shop Demonstration allows our buyer’s authorized representative to observe the final stages of the standard testing process at Aidco’s manufacturing facility and the opportunity to view the equipment prior to shipment. These demonstrations are limited to one day and, in some cases, there may be a cost associated. If additional days are desired, additional costs may be incurred.

Revisions or additions to the equipment’s design requested by the customer during the Customer Shop Demonstration may result in price increases and/or delays to the shipping schedule. This is why an authorized representative of the buyer must approve the overall functionality and appearance of their equipment on an Equipment Acceptance Certificate and indicate on it any changes or revisions prior to these changes or revisions being completed by Aidco. Special shop testing, which is in addition to the standard procedure described above or extended running of particular products, as well as maintenance and operator training, can be accommodated at an extra charge (or see proposal).

Seller tests the machines independent of ancillary equipment purchased with the machine. This equipment can be tested with the machine; however, additional charges and time may apply. If additional testing is required, the Buyer must notify Seller prior to ordering. In the case that the additional equipment is purchased by the Seller from another vendor, the inspection of the equipment will be at their facility and per their standard policies.

The Buyer will be responsible for any additional charges that may apply. The buyer is responsible for supplying test product at no cost to Seller (containers, pallets, slip sheets top frames, etc, including freight). If the equipment is to handle multiple material/container sizes, the buyer shall provide one predetermined amount of the product that runs at the fastest rate. Details must be finalized prior to receipt. Test samples must be received with order placement but no later than two-three weeks after order placement. All test material will be recycled. Upon request, material can be returned, freight collect.
